Pentecost!

40 days after Jesus was resurrected He ascended into heaven. (Acts 1). He had told the believers He would send Another:

John 14:16-21 "I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also. In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.” John 14:26, 15:26, 16:7-15 and Ephesians 1:13

10 days after His ascension, He sent the Holy Spirit of promise. Through the Spirit of God, Himself, living in the believer- we have all we need to live this life. Christ in us. Galatians 2:20. Constant, continuous intimacy with the Father-

"they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. "- John 17:21-23

You know, sometimes I think believers feel like we have to beg or demand of God- to protect us, to sustain us, to provide for us- when He makes it so plain in the Scriptures that He has ALREADY done all that we could every possible need or want.

When we boil it all down, we don't believe Him. Unbelieving believers. Why? Because life doesn't look like what we thought it would or should. We don't trust Him. If we beg enough, if we prove enough that we WANT to be pleasing to Him, if we demand enough (like spoiled children) THEN God will do what we want Him to do. We gotta make God be the god we want Him to be.

But God. He simply states through Peter in whom preached the very first sermon after the indwelling of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost (Acts 2):

" those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours, by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature"- 2 Peter 1

- received faith
-grace and peace multiplied to us IN THE KNOWLEDGE of of God and of Jesus our Lord (this knowledge is spiritual intimate awareness through experience)
-His divine power had granted us everything pertaining to life and godliness
-we are called by His own glory and excellence
-by His own glory and excellence He has granted us His precious and magnificent promises
-we are partakers of His divine nature

What more could you possibly need?

Today is 50 days after that wonderful Resurrection Day!

Today- trust in His promises, declarations, truth, grace and peace!

Choose believing today.
