Can you imagine?

September 21, 2015

Can you imagine that you, your wife and your 3 year old child- and everyone you know being forced out of your own country? Whether it be political or religious reasons? Or no reason at all except that some men are evil and don't care about the lives of others?

Can you imagine when you, your wife and 3 year old child finally got to where you though you might could keep your little family safe to find out that you were going to have to live in a tent in a refugee camp for who knows how long?

Now imagine that 5 years into your stay at the camp someone comes to you and says, "America is accepting refugees. It's a LONG process. How about we get you started so you can raise your family to be free and to prosper- if you are willing to work and do your best?"

Ten...TEN LONG years later....process after process after process after process...and 3 more children- your plight as desperate as ever.

Finally, the long awaited approval has arrived. Your family of 6, who has lived in a camp and in a tent for 15 years has a chance at freedom. Real freedom. Not living in a camp- herded in like animals.

Always hungry. Never ever a chance for anything better in the camp. Can you imagine being this father or mother? Can you imagine watching your children grow up with no chance of any better?

 Can you imagine?

Even the worst in America has more than the refugees. Refugees who WANT to work, to do better, to be better, to have better, to feed their children, clothe their children- bathe their children, tuck them into a BED at night.

Have you ever let your kids go to bed hungry? Filthy? Cold? Who would want that? Nobody.

Today this family arrives in America. I cannot imagine how they are going to feel going to bed together as a family, for the first time in their life-in a home and not a tent.

God bless America. America who at it's core is FREEDOM from tyranny and oppression. Protector. A country you can actually breathe in the freedom. Live in freedom. Walk in freedom.

On September 23 our friends from Africa arrived!
